We have been supporting a local bereavement project, called Good Grief Dear. We have been supporting the project with raffle prizes, and the loan of a vehicle to transport their house clearance items and jumble...all to help raise much needed funds to support people with their grief, bereavement and loss journey
We linked in with an event that took place in Derby to raise awareness of the mental well-being issues men face in the construction industry...we donated a days labour to a raffle in aid of Mind Derbyshire and sponsored the referees at a mini football tournament for the day
So, Christmas 2022 was the season for a sky dive present (screaming emoji)! We will tun this into a fundraising event for The Lighthouse Club Construction Charity - watch this space for more info and dates...
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that is 100% dedicated to support the emotional, physical and physical well-being of construction works and their families.
Skydive complete, comfort zone exceeded and new ventures await in raising more awareness regarding mental health in construction and its workers
This is a campaign to get construction talking and it addresses the perception that construction workers are often seen as being ‘hard’ on the outside; always ready with a quip or keeping up with the alpha male image on site or at work. But research shows that simply isn’t true and the charity deals first hand with the results of not addressing issues ‘inside the hard hat’.
